The Russian Orthodox Church canonized them in 2000. Traditional religious processions will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities on Saturday. A night religious procession will be held from a church that was built at the place of Ipatyev’s house where the royal family was shot to the stow Ganina yama where the remains of the Romanovs were burnt. A picture exhibition of emperor’s sister Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, a festival of Orthodox culture and a photo exhibition from the archives of the royal family are timed to this sorrowful date in Russian history.
